Despite transport systems all over Britain grinding to a halt, steam triumphed on Southern metals when 35028 hauled the 9th January VSOE Pullman Lunch Train around the Surrey Hills circuit. Also despite the weather, (or because of?) some brave photographers were out to record the event:
