Valentine’s Day saw Clan Line hauling a special OE Pullman Lunch train around the Surrey Hills circular route. Ex Fleet Street photographer, Horace Ward, was on Victoria Platform with his 2x3 American Crown Graphic camera to photograph some of the enthusiasts taking pictures of our locomotive.

Horace commented: “A special Valetines Day extra on Feb 14th.2012, with CLAN LINE up front. Although a dull bleak day, especially on drafty Platform 2, guests and sightseers mingle to view the magnificent CLAN LINE pulling the Orient Express.
Included was a well behaved collection of young rail enthusiasts with still & movie cameras at the ready for the 'off' signal from the guard. Before departure they had a chat to the engine crew.”
