Clan Line Steams Again!!
(Part 2)
In Part 1 we showed pictures of the initial steam test of the boiler in Pridham’s Yard. Since then re-assembly has taken place at Stewarts Lane and the loco is nearing completion.
Over the weekend of 11th - 13th August, Clan Line was steamed for the first time for over 5 years. Reassembly had reached the stage where steam testing was possible and necessary to check for leaks and to check auxilliary systems like the sanders. The following sequence of pictures shows what happened, starting from a pile of rubbish to finish in light steam. Click on a thumbnail to see a bigger picture.
